Level One

Level I introduces dancers to traditional classical ballet classes with foundational exercises at the barre and center.

Students attend class two to three days per week and continue to learn ballet terminology while focusing on correct alignment, placement, technique, and musicality.

Level Two

Building on the foundation from Level I, Level II dancers begin to work with more complex exercises and musical phrases.

Emphasis remains on alignment, strength, and flexibility, while encouraging greater control, precision, and confidence in movement.

Level II students attend class two to three days per week.

Level Three

In Level III, dancers attend class three days per week, with the addition of pre-pointe classes.

While continuing to strengthen their technique, students are introduced to more complex vocabulary, and combinations.

Their focus expands to include the relationship of musical dynamics in dance, and artistic choices in the use of their head and shoulders.

Faculty stress repetition and precision to support development.

Level Four

In Level IV, dancers attend class four days per week, with optional conditioning classes offered to support strength and stamina.

Emphasis is placed on artistic expression, and advanced use of port de bras and épaulement.

Variations and pointe classes are introduced as part of the curriculum, preparing students for more advanced performance opportunities.

Conservatory Program

Students who have progressed through Level IV, have demonstrated commitment to growth, discipline, and artistic excellence, and who are ready for more intensive and personalized training, may be invited to audition for our Conservatory Program.

This program is designed for highly dedicated dancers who are considering a professional career or wish to elevate their training to the highest level.

Conservatory students have expanded access to private coaching, advanced technique classes, performance opportunities, and competitions if they so choose.

All students in Levels I–IV and Conservatory have multiple opportunities to participate in performances and community outreach throughout the year, helping them grow as both artists and members of the community.

Beginning in Level I, students must take a placement class to ensure appropriate placement.

Sliding Scale Tuition

We believe that world-class arts education should be accessible to all. Three Rivers Ballet offers a sliding scale tuition model to ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of talent.

Summer Programs

We will offer four sessions over the summer. There will be partial week Summer Camps this year for students in Creative Movement.

Dress Code

Uniformity in the studio allows teachers to clearly see alignment and technique while fostering a professional atmosphere from an early age.
